Best/Worst Matchups - 2025 Week 14

For most of you, this is the final week of the regular season for your fantasy leagues. I hope you have found yourself in good position to make Weeks 15-17 matter! If you haven't yet, let's see what we can do today to get you over the hump!

Let's get to it!

QUARTERBACKS

START Daniel Jones vs Jacksonville Jaguars

A crucial divisional battle will lead to a huge bounce-back game from Jones. Jones gets the Jaguars this week who have allowed the 10th most points to opposing QBs. The Colts have dropped 3 of the last 4 games including a tough divisional loss to the Texans last week. Jones has to keep them in the division race becuase Jonathan Taylor may have a tough time this week against the Jaguars who have allowed the 4th FEWEST points to opposing RBs this week. Don't sleep on Jones this week after a few mediocre performances.

Honorable Mention: Sam Darnold vs ATL, Tua Tagovailoa vs NYJ

SIT Jacoby Brissett vs Los Angeles Rams

This is where the magical Brissett run ends. He's been a lights-out option for the past several weeks and has offered Top-10 QB production in all but 1 of his starts this season. Unfortunately, he gets to face the Rams this week who have allowed the 3rd fewest points to opposing QBs this season. The Rams had a hiccup last week against the Panthers and will look to shut down all doubt of being a Super Bowl contender by stomping the lowly Cardinals and keeping Brissett's production to a minimum.

Honorable Mention: Caleb Williams vs GB, Bo Nix vs LV

RUNNING BACKS

START Jordan Mason vs Washington Commanders

Even if Aaron Jones plays, Jones will likely cede a decent workload to Mason. Jones will be playing banged-up so I see Mason having a higher percentage of the snap count than usual. The Vikings draw the Commanders this week who have allowed the 3rd most points to opposing RBs this season. This is a good opportunity to spot Mason in as a FLEX option if you're missing a guy that's out on the final week of BYE for the season.

Honorable Mention: Kimani Vidal vs PHI, Blake Corum vs ARI

SIT Woody Marks vs Kansas City Chiefs

Marks has been getting battered all year. He's probably got a bruise from each game this year. He's had decent production but after leaving last week's game briefly, it remains clear if he's 100% and if he's likely to cede carries to Nick Chubb for the final stretch of the regular season. Regardless of who plays more, the Texans play the Chiefs in a battle of stout defenses. The Chiefs have allowed the 7th fewest points to opposing RBs this season and may be wise to keep your Texans running backs on the bench this week if possible.

Honorable Mention: Kyle Monangai vs GB, Tony Pollard vs CLE

WIDE RECEIVERS

START Isaac TeSlaa vs Dallas Cowboys

I try not to be a huge homer in my posts, but I'm excited to feature this guy this week. Amon-Ra St. Brown is unlikely to play this week after a tough injury in last week's Thanksgiving game against the Packers. In his stead, TeSlaa played over 90% of offensive snaps. He had a tougher matchup last week but is gifted this week with a Charmin-soft matchup against the Cowboys who have allowed BY FAR the most points to opposing WRs. The next team happens to be the Lions. What this means is that there are likely to be fireworks tomorrow night and TeSlaa should be in starting lineups everywhere.

Honorable Mention: Dontayvion Wicks vs CHI, Parker Washington vs IND

SIT Khalil Shakir vs Cincinnati Bengals

Shakir doesn't make sense. The previous week against the tough Texans defense, Shakir put up 20 PPR points. Last week against an easier Steelers matchup, he puts up damn near close to a goose egg. He becomes un-trustable going into a matchups against the Bengals. James Cook should have a field day (1st in points allowed to RBs) leaving Shakir as an afterthought. Even if I'm wrong in my reasoning, I cannot trust how up and down he has been.

Honorable Mention: Xavier Worthy vs HOU, Deebo Samuel vs MIN

TIGHT ENDS

START Kyle Pitts vs Seattle Seahawks

With Drake London likely to sit out another week, Pitts will look to continue being the focal point of the passing game. Last week, he showed out with 7 catches on 8 targets for 80 yards. He gets a Seattle team that has allowed the 10th most points to opposing TEs this season. Simple as that. He can help you get to the playoffs with another big week!

Honorable Mention: Mason Taylor vs MIA, Mark Andrews vs PIT

SIT Dallas Goedert vs Los Angeles Chargers

He continues to get snaps, but Goedert has not been even in the TOP 30 TEs the past 3 weeks. He cannot be regarded as a starting option at this time, especially with an upcoming matchup against the Chargers who have allowed the 4th fewest points to TEs this season. Keep Goedert out of your lineups.

Honorable Mention: Oronde Gadsden II vs PHI, Dalton Schultz vs KC
