Welcome back after your bye week, champ!
Wait, you played last week? Well, we can't all be elite.
Regardless, I'm here to help you get to the championship round! Let's hope we can pick out the right matchups to exploit this week!
QUARTERBACKS
START Jacoby Brissett vs Atlanta Falcons
I feel like Brissett keeps getting overlooked while he continues to pile on Top-12 QB finishes week after week after week! A QB12 finish last week while piling Trey McBride with elite stats is what everyone loves and I don't see it stopping against the Falcons. The Dirty Birds are middle of the pack (14th) against opposing QBs but the fact that Brissett just did what he did against the Texans means that he can play catch-up with the rest of 'em. He's definitely starting material this week if you are down at QB.
Honorable Mention: JJ McCarthy vs NYG, Bryce Young vs TB
SIT Dak Prescott vs Los Angeles Chargers
Dak had a down week last week against the Vikings where he did not pass for a TD. The only other times he's done that this season are against stout defenses (Eagles and Broncos). Prescott can exploit the worst defenses but seems to shrivel up against good ones. He's a sit this week against the Chargers who have allowed the 2nd least points to opposing QBs. Wait to re-insert him into lineups next week when he plays the Commanders.
Honorable Mention: Jaxson Dart vs MIN, Baker Mayfield vs CAR
RUNNING BACKS
START Aaron Jones vs New York Giants
Jones has not had the stats we would like to see from a starting RB lately. He hasn't gone over 10 PPR points since Week 11. What he has been seeing is a majority of the RB snaps over Jordan Mason and should not be forgotten about this week. Mason has barely been getting 30% of the snaps and it's clear that Jones still has most of the backfield share. He's lucky to draw the Giants this week who have surrendered the 3rd most points to opposing RBs this season. The Vikings have a chance to play from ahead against a lowly team so we may see more of a workload this week for Jones as he's seen 12 and 14 carries each of the last two games. If he gets there or exceeds it, that's a win and a decent FLEX addition if he finds the end zone... which he hasn't done since Week 10. He's due.
Honorable Mention: Tyler Allgeier vs ARI, Chuba Hubbard vs TB
SIT Kenneth Walker III vs Los Angeles Rams
Talk about disappointing recently. Over the last three weeks, Walker has ceded more and more of a snap share to Zach Charbonnet as we watch his production continue to dip. What's even more unfortunate is that the Seahawks get the Rams this week right after we saw them stop Jahmyr Gibbs and held him under 10 PPR points. Walker should be planted firmly on the bench this week for these multitude of reasons.
Honorable Mention: Kenneth Gainwell vs DET, D'Andre Swift vs GB
WIDE RECEIVERS
START Jauan Jennings vs Indianapolis Colts
Ricky Pearsall just cannot seem to stay healthy. He's hurt once again which opens the door for Jennings to continue on with lead WR duties. Jennings has scored 4 TD's in the last 3 combined games. He's been unbelievably steady recently and very healthy since his early-season injury. He has major upside this week against the Colts who have allowed the 5th most points to opposing WRs this season. He's a big-play option for your FLEX or even a WR3 spot.
Honorable Mention: Jayden Reed vs CHI, Jayden Higgins vs LV
SIT George Pickens vs Los Angeles Chargers
See Dak Prescott above. Similar reasons, along with the fact that he's run cold the past two weeks. The matchup against the Chargers does him no favors. Keep him out this week and if you're in the championship next week, I don't see why you shouldn't put him back in.
Honorable Mention: Wan'Dale Robinson vs MIN, Khalil Shakir vs CLE
TIGHT ENDS
START Colby Parkinson vs Seattle Seahawks
Davante Adams went down bad last week. Yes, we'll see plenty of Puka Nacua this week. But who else...? Parkinson has seen increased usage the past several weeks with the Rams and it seems as if he's taken over the starting TE role there. After a 5 catch, 2 TD kind of day last week against the Lions, there's plenty of optimism. He's a very nice streaming option this week against the Seahawks. The Seahawks only rank 11st most in points given up to opposing TEs this year but with his new opportunity to be the 2nd pass-catcher in line for Matthew Stafford, it's as good as any chance.
Honorable Mention: Darren Waller vs CIN, Evan Engram vs JAX
SIT Hunter Henry vs Baltimore Ravens
Henry got blanketed last week against the Bills who are among the best at covering TE's this season. The Ravens are among that category too as they have given up the 6th least points to opposing TEs this season. I see this game being more of a slugfest than one with a ton of fireworks so I see Henry's involvement limited in this game. There are plenty of other viable options this week to try out.
Honorable Mention: Dalton Schultz vs LV, TJ Hockenson vs NYG
