Overall fantasy outlook for 2024:
The Commanders have multiple players that will be factors for the 2024 season. For the purpose of this article I will use current Sleeper Redraft ADP. I’ll start with the highest drafted player and work back from there.
WR 32 68 OVR: Terry McLaurin
Scary Terry has been a consistent solid fantasy option since entering the league. I’m happy to add him as my 3rd WR at this ADP or even my 2 if I went in on RB QB and TE early in my draft. Nothing league winning or exciting with Terry but he is healthy and consistent. Great floor player that lets you gamble on high risk players.
RB 31 95 OVR: Austin Ekeler
Ekeler has been a phenom for fantasy football for years. Mainly due to huge reception totals and a nose for the end zone. I am way out on him at this ADP because I just don’t see the receptions from a running QB nor the Commanders being in a lot of goal line scenarios with a projected bad offense.
RB 36 111 OVR: RB Brian Robinson
BRob was sneaky good especially in the first half of last year. He was sitting as the RB8 around the halfway point last fantasy season. Robinson is similar to McLaurin in that I like him as a safe steady piece at his ADP and he’s a perfect candidate for zero or hero RB builds.
QB 15 115 OVR: QB Jayden Daniels
This ADP is rapidly rising but I think Daniels will never get beyond QB 10 in ADP and I love that for him. Daniels is coming off a Heisman Trophy season where he ran and threw for tons of stats. Daniels is a true cheat code along the lines of Justin Fields for his rushing and he is a more polished passer than any current rushing NFL QB was coming into the league. I will draft Daniels in any redraft league this year along with a safe 2nd QB like Goff or Stafford late.
TE 18 147 OVR: TE Ben Sinnot
Sinnot is a very good prospect and was the second TE taken in the NFL draft. In normal size and scoring redraft leagues Sinnot will not be drafted. Could be a streaming option later in season.
WR 67 165 OVR: WR Johan Dotson
Like Sinnot, Dotson will not be drafted in normal size and scoring leagues but if Daniels truly breaks out, Dotson could be a trendy waiver add.
That’s all I’ve got on Washington for 2024. Seeking to draft J. Daniels, ok with Mclaurin and Robinson and avoiding Ekeler.
